Join us as the Alabama Symphony Orchestra goes Wild at your Birmingham Zoo on Sunday, October 5th at 5:00pm. Made Possible by the Linn-Henley Charitable Trust.
The Birmingham Zoo and the Alabama Symphony Orchestra – two of our city’s oldest and most beloved institutions – are teaming up to present a one-of-a-kind family event that blends the magic of live symphonic music and the enjoyment of the animal kingdom! We invite the community to experience the Orchestra and your Zoo as never before, made possible by the Linn-Henley Charitable Trust. At a special event after hours at the zoo – including activities to engage with animals and instruments – the Orchestra will bring to life beloved, animal-inspired music with a concert for families under the stars. This immersive experience is a new, enchanting way to explore the power of music in the heart of your Zoo!
VIP Silver gives you access to the pre-concert reception including food stations and an open bar on the balcony and terraces overlooking the zoo. ASO Music Director Carlos Izcaray and ASO musicians will meet and mingle with guests at the reception. As the sun sets, VIP Silver guests will be asked to head to their reserved seats along the rock wall in the plaza overlooking Henley Lawn.
Pre-concert activities for all guests will include after-hours access to ambassador animals, the reptile exhibit, and the Alabama Wilds barn. Other activities include face painting and an “instrument petting zoo.” Concessions will be open for the entire event, so guests can grab food, bring blankets, and enjoy an evening of music on the lawn.
Please print or show your digital tickets for entry. Tickets are required for participation and are non-refundable.
